IEEE International Conference on Industrial Informatics, INDIN’23

17th - 20th July 2023, Lemgo, Germany

Welcome

IEEE INDIN international conference will provide a forum for presentation and discussion of the state-of-art and future perspectives of industrial information technologies. Industry experts, researchers and academics are gathering together to share ideas and experiences surrounding frontier technologies, breakthroughs, innovative solutions, research results, as well as initiatives related to industrial informatics and their applications.

INDIN 2023 is hosted by Institute industrial IT of Technische Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe and Fraunhofer IOSB-INA

Welcome to Lemgo, a small University and Old Hanseatic town located in the region of Ostwestfalen-Lippe, one of the most important industrial regions in Germany. With our it’s OWL leading edge technology cluster we are pioneers in the area of Industry 4.0.

Statements about INDIN 2023

Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Peter Neumann

Emeritus, Otto-von-Guericke Universität Magdeburg, ifak e.V., Germany

Industrial Automation has got many changes during time. Industrial Informatics is getting more and more important for modern and innovative automation systems using more and more the same technical background. Institute industrial IT of TH OWL and Fraunhofer IOSB-INA are exploring it many years before: Both are very successful in R&D in industrial automation and industrial informatics. Education meets Science meets Industry – with their outstanding research infrastructure it is obvious that they have to organize the flagship IEEE conference INDIN 2023 at Innovation Campus Lemgo in the technology region Ostwestfalen-Lippe. Take your chance to get to know Industrial informatics made in Lemgo and the rest of the world.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Armando Walter Colombo

University of Applied Sciences Emden, Germany

The advent of the Digital Transformation under the Industry 4.0 and Internet-of-Things initiatives, among others, and more particularly the migration of current eco-systems (e.g., industry-, infrastructure-, health-, energy-systems, among others) into a combination of information, communication, control and automation systems, has made it so that environments are becoming more and more dynamic, networked and interoperable, but also inherently more complex. In this context, Industrial Informatics is perceived, since its introduction in 2002 in the IEEE IES scope, as the pivotal enabler for this new era of an information-based real-time collaboration among value-chain participants, e.g., components, systems, organizations, and humans.

INDIN 2023, being the 21st edition of this flagship conference series of the IES, is beyond that enabler and this year hosted by a German institution possessing an exceptional foundational research and innovation infrastructure, the Institute industrial IT of Technische Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe and the Fraunhofer IOSB-INA. Please, be welcome to Lemgo to participate and share with us your experiences and knowledges in the Industrial Informatics domain.

Prof. Reimund Neugebauer

President of Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, Germany

The key to future-proof and competitive industry lies in innovating industrial information technology. This technology is the link between automation networks and the corresponding office level. The international conference INDIN 2023, organized jointly by Fraunhofer IOSB-INA and the Institute Industrial IT (inIT) of OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts, provides a discussion forum for stakeholders from all over the world on current and future industrial information technologies. These range from artificial intel-ligence and human-machine interaction to automation and communication in an industrial context. In its research and development work, the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft focuses on this future-oriented topic and, together with industrial companies, develops easy-to-use, needs-based and innovative communication solutions.
